Taste of the Backcountry Historic Price House Come experience a “Taste of the Backcountry” - South Carolina as it was in the early 1800s at the Price House. We are pleased to invite you to join us for our annual festival, Taste of the Backcountry. This event features free evaluations of your historic items as well as demonstrations of hearth cooking, weaving, egg dyeing, live critters and guided tours of The Price House and slave cabin, as well as period music. Taste of the Backcountry is Saturday, April 3, 2010, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. All activities and evaluations are included in the admission price. Charleston Cinco de Mayo Festival Come celebrate Mexican heritage and culture during Charleston’s fifth annual Cinco de Mayo Festival and watch local celebrities compete in the "Dancing with the Local Stars" competition. The festival will take place at the Visitors Center Bus Terminal located in downtown Charleston on Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 7-11 p.m. Sample local Mexican cuisine, margaritas and Mexican beer and the best Latin American entertainment Charleston has to offer!
