South Carolina Military Museum is dedicated to preserving the heritage of the South Carolina National Guard and honoring the memories of the men and women citizen soldiers who, for over 300 years have served South Carolina and the United States. Exhibits contain artifacts ranging from the late 17th century to today’s current Gulf War on Terror. Outside the museum building visitors may view larger vehicles and equipment that was used by the military at different periods. Museum admission is free and open to the public, though donations are appreciated. A full tour should take about two hours. The South Carolina Military Museum is located behind the National Guard Armory on Bluff Road. It's hidden in plain site.
