This historic district at the 2700 block of Cleveland St. is home to circa 1900s buildings that house antique shops, gift boutiques, an art gallery, arts and crafts, restaurants and the Elloree Heritage Museum & Cultural Center. The museum is open Wed. - Sat. or by appt. by calling 803-897-2225. The 100-foot-wide street features brick crosswalks, and is lined with flowering and hardwood trees, providing an inviting rural setting for shopping or browsing. Two blocks away, Joe Miller Park offers picnic tables and a shelter, a pavilion for community events and concerts, and lighted tennis courts. Each March the town is the setting for the Elloree Trials Horse Race for thoroughbreds and quarter horses. The town is also the home of the annual antiques festival, the annual trash and treasures sales, the annual Winter Lights festival and the Pork Fest.
