Victory Along the Santee River with Francis Marion Living History
Victory along the Santee River provides a glimpse and shares the view of life on the backcountry frontier of the Santee River. (An opportunity for you to walk where Francis Marion did in 1780-1781). Costumed volunteers and re-enactors demonstrate living history such as: quill writing, gunsmithing, open-fire cooking, textile production, blacksmithing, woodworking, cannon and musket firing, soap and candle making and many other activities. People are invited to play 18th century games and share camp life.
