The National Bean Market Museum
This single story masonry structure was built by the PWA (Public Works Administration) in 1936. The market became the largest truck auction bean market in the world. The museum includes exhibits and displays depicting early farm life in the Pee Dee area. The site includes a pole tobacco barn, market area and Agriculture Center (under construction). The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
