Bat Chat

Many animals find their way into our hearts for their uniqueness: whales for their size, cheetas for their speed, and grizzly bears for their strength. But bats, the only mammal capable of true flight, often give us chills at the mere mention of them. Take a new look at these amazing mammals while we use a costume, power point and games to illustrate the often misunderstood bat. Best of all, you have a rare opportunity to see and hear these master aerialists at work. After our indoor presentation, we will go outside to observe bats hunting insects. We will listen to them with a special device called a bat detector, allowing us to hear what is normally beyond the human ear.
