Sixty-six bunkers are well placed off the elevated tees and guard undulating two and three-tiered greens. Numerous dog-leg fairways, accented by strategically located mounds and fairway bunkers, call for well-planned tee shots. The greens vary in size and their well-defined tiers place a premium on precise approach shots. Hole #6, a par 3 with Port Royal Sound in the background, has been recognized by many as one of the most spectacular holes on Hilton Head. Oyster Reef most recently was awarded the Lowcountry Golf Course Owners Association "2006 Golf Club of the Year".

Sunset Grille's strange location (in a trailer park over a laundry mat) adds to its charm. This place is well known to locals as one of the best in the area. The ideal time to go is right before the sunsets because no one has a better view. The food is superb, the service excellent, and the atmosphere is casual. The Sunday brunch receives rave reviews, so whenever you go, be sure to make reservations. It's off the main road, but well worth the effort to find.
