FIG (Food is Good) is a neighborhood bistro with a seasonally inspired menu, which always showcases the best local meats, seafood and produce. Chef Lata and partner Adam Nemirow work with local farmers, growers and purveyors to source products with integrity, flavor and soul, and incorporate seasonal offerings into their menus nightly. The result is food that is honest, straightforward and pays homage to the bounty of the Lowcountry region. With a funky, cool atmosphere and retro home cooking, this local eatery has garnered praise both locally and nationally. Chef Mike Lata took home the 2009 James Beard Award for Best Chef in the Southeast.
