The BB&T Charleston Wine + Food Festival celebrates the best that the city of Charleston, SC has to offer; a local food culture rich in tradition, James Beard award-winning chefs, and the best city to visit in the U.S., according to Condé Nast Traveler’s 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards. The four-day event, praised as one of the top five food and wine festivals in the U.S. by Forbes Traveler, infuses home-grown flavor with the most celebrated chefs, culinary professionals, and winemakers in the world.

A wine and food event like no other, this festival provides guests the opportunity to meet and get a taste of some of the country’s best chefs, authors and wine professionals. Guests can educate their palates with Southern cuisine and the Lowcountry’s unique food styles, heritage and recipes at one of the 50+ events throughout the weekend.

Among the 2013 guest chefs will be Adam Perry Lang of Daisy May BBQ in New York, NY and Daniel Patterson of Coi Restaurant in San Francisco, CA. Charleston’s finest chefs will be also be participating.

The festival was recognized by the Southeast Tourism Society as one of the Top 20 Events for the month of February 2008.
