Pendleton

Founded in 1790 on land which just a few years earlier had been a part of the Cherokee Indian Nation, Pendleton is now the largest historic district in the nation. A charming village green is the centerpiece of this town. The entire town is on the National Register of Historic Places and offers fine antique shops, boutiques, and several excellent restaurants.
