This one-day symposium is an intimate and unvarnished look at the lives of women enslaved on southern plantations. Special guests include renowned slave interpreters Kitty Wilson-Evans and BJ Caldwell, as well as genealogist and author Elvin Thompson (“The Blood Running Through My Veins”). There is a $35 admission fee which includes lunch & snacks, a special booklet created for the workshop, resources for researching and documenting the lives of enslaved women, and a free tour of Redcliffe Plantation SHS.
