World champion to teach wakesurfing on Lake Murray

Want to blow away your wakesurfing buddies with some wicked new tricks? Take a lesson from world champion Chase Hazen.

The wakesurfing superstar will be coaching wannabe warriors during the Wake Surf Lake Murray event taking place July 27 and 28 in the Midlands.

Along with the lessons, Hazen will put on a free show for the public, demonstrating his mad skills on the water.

A full day of instruction will be offered both Saturday and Sunday. The lessons will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Paradise Cove in Chapin. Cost is $219 per day and includes lunch, a hat and T-shirt.
