Catch a caboose during Steam Train Days

South Carolina has a rich railroad history. If you’d like to experience a bit of the bygone era, grab the kids and hop a caboose during the 2010 Steam Train Days being hosted by the
South Carolina Railroad Museum.
The coal-fired Flag Coal Company No. 75 steam engine will take passengers on a 10-mile, 1 hour ride on the rails of the Rockton Rion and Western Railroad near
Winnsboro. The train rides will run this fall from Oct. 16, 17, 23 and 24. The train departs at 10 a.m.,1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $7 for children. Reservations are recommended.
