Not quite a week before the first ball is struck at the
2012 PGA Championship at
Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course, a few tickets and ticket packages remain for those wanting to experience South Carolina’s first men’s major golf championship.
The tournament, Aug. 6-12, is expected to draw crowds of 25,000-30,000 per day to the Pete Dye-designed course, which has hosted the 1991 Ryder Cup Matches and, as a test run for this year, the 2007 Senior PGA Championship.
Grounds tickets remain for the three practice rounds on Monday, Tuesday ($45 each) and Wednesday ($60), as well as for Thursday’s opening round ($110). Also, Championship Round Ticket Packages ($500) offer admission to all four competition rounds, Thursday-Sunday.
In addition, Champions Club Tickets starting at $700 offer not only admission but also access to theater-style seating in a double-decker, open-air venue overlooking the par-3 17th hole, one of two prime viewing locations along with the 18th hole. Champions Club tickets also include full catering and open bar service.
