The Lazy Goat celebrating its birthday with specials

Posted 6/18/2012 10:18:00 AM

It’s been five years since The Lazy Goat opened in Greenville, and the restaurant is celebrating this week with wine tastings, favorite foods, live music and lunch specials.

Chef Vicki Moore is well known for excellent meals with an international twist, and The Lazy Goat is a favorite for its great atmosphere and reasonable prices. It also has a fantastic view of the Reedy River.

As the folks at The Lazy Goat say, time spent there is time well wasted.

Some of the favorite foods Moore is bringing back include pancetta-wrapped grouper, Spanakopita pizza and Romanesco cauliflower.

A wine tasting 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, will feature six Mediterranean wines as well as small bites for $25.

On Thursday, DJ Ray will be playing requests from 7:30-11:30 p.m.

During lunch all week, The Lazy Goat will offer $5 glasses of featured wines and 50 percent off select bottles of wine.

The restaurant will also introduce a sharing menu for parties of six or more.
