Jazz gospel brunch a delicious, diverse Euphoria treat

Jazz music, a gospel choir and a spread of all types of foods from about 20 of the
Upcountry's
best restaurants pleased a hungry crowd at
Euphoria 2011’s Jazz Brunch
Sunday morning.
One of the most popular events of
Greenville's
Euphoria, the Jazz Brunch draws a diverse crowd, including families with children who often are not too shy to dance along with the music.

Among the scrumptious dishes served were: shrimp and grits from
Ruth’s Chris
; crab cakes from
Soby’s
; red beans and rice, and chicken and andouille sausage from the
Lazy Goat
; grits and grillades from
Grits and Groceries
in Belton; and a delicious apple sausage and white corn polenta cake from
Devereaux’s
.
The Sugar Studio
offered a table full of delectable sweets: mini éclairs, mini cannolis, Death by Chocolate cake and almond raspberry cake.
The
Clemson University Gospel Choir
presented a couple of rousing performances during the brunch.
Also performing were jazz trumpeter
Mark Rapp
and trombonist
Wycliffe Gordon
