Chef’s peach cookies in the running in national contest

Pastry chef Barbara Whitley’s peach cookies are in the running in U.S. Foods “Next Top Product” Competition

Whitley owns Crady’s Restaurant in downtown Conway, along with her husband, Les, and her daughter, Heather. Crady’s is a favorite spot for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch.

This is the second year that one of Whitley’s recipes was chosen as one of the top recipes in the nation. Last year, her Southern peach cupcake with apple butter cream frosting placed fourth in the dessert category. I got to taste one, and it was moist and delicious.

She’s such a great baker that people line up to buy her fruitcakes during the holidays.
