Posted 7/19/2013 5:30:00 PM

An artisan mustard company in North Myrtle Beach, Simply Southern Gourmet, could use your vote by Sunday, July 21.

Simply Southern Gourmet is competing in the My Story, My Ad contest of the Specialty Food Association. The winner gets a free ad campaign and a three-day trip to San Francisco. You can go here to vote for Simply Southern.

When voting ends Sunday, the top 10 entries will be judged by the Specialty Food Media staff and one winner will be chosen. The winner will be announced Aug. 2.

Nancy and Jerry Novak began experimenting because they thought they could make a better mustard than those lining the grocery store shelf. By September 2011, they had created their company.

They make four types of mustards: Sweet Potato Pepper Mustard, Roasted Peach Mango Pepper Mustard, Roasted Pineapple Cranberry Pepper Mustard and Balsamic Sweet Onion Pepper Mustard.

When I wrote about them last year, I tried all four, and each one is delicious.

You can buy it at a number of gourmet shops in South Carolina and other states, as well as at some Piggly Wiggly stores and Whole Food Markets. You can also buy it online
