Overlook Grill to reopen as Passerelle Bistro

The former Overlook Grill in Falls Park in Greenville is getting a new look, a new concept and a new name.

Passerelle Bistro will be opening later this spring. Passerelle is the French word for footbridge, appropriate since the restaurant is near the beginning of the Liberty Bridge that crosses the Reedy River.

Table 301 restaurant group bought the Overlook Grill in May 2012 and ran it through the busy summer season while they studied what kind of new concept should go in place for the building. It was closed in December for a redo.

In a news release, Table 301 owner Carl Sobocinski described Passerelle as a casual bistro, “a little French, a little European and a lot local.” He said Chef Teryi Youngblood, who has been a pastry chef at Soby’s, is working on a menu.

A new Facebook page for Passerelle shows renderings of the building and its new look, with a deep red awning and seating outside.

Plans are for the restaurant to be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with dining inside and outside.

Table 301 also owns Soby’s, Soby’s on the Side, Devereaux’s, The Lazy Goat and Nose Dive
