Hilton Head’s Wine and Food Festival is March 4-9

Wine lovers, start planning a trip to
Hilton Head Island for six days of wine sampling along with lots of excellent food.
The 28th annual
Hilton Head Island Wine and Food Festival starts March 4, with
Great Chefs of the South wine dinners being held through March 9 at restaurants throughout Hilton Head Island.
Participating restaurants include
Bomboras Grille,
Charlie’s L’etoile Verte,
Frankie Bones,
Ela’s Blu Water Grille,
Ombra Cucina Rustica,
Wise Guys,
Robert Irvine’s eat!,
Trattoria Divina,
Old Fort Pub and
Red Fish.
Those attending the
Grand Wine Tasting and Silent Auction on Friday night at
Sea Pines Country Club get to learn about, taste and buy premium wines and enjoy hors d’oeuvres.
The
Wine and Food Festival and Silent Auction will be noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at
Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn. Ticket holders can sample hundreds of wines, and enjoy gourmet treats and live music. The event also includes the Bartender’s Challenge and Waiter’s Race and Outdoor Gourmet where local and regional chefs offer cooking tips, demonstrations and free samples of cuisine.
