Let the Lee Brothers help you ‘Devour the Dogs’

For lots of us, tailgating before a football game is even better than the game itself.

But if you don’t get organized enough to provide your own tailgate spread for Saturday's University of South Carolina game against the Georgia Bulldogs, never fear. The S.C. Department of Agriculture is providing a Certified S.C. Grown Tailgate. Cookbook authors Matt and Ted Lee will be trying to outdo each other in a hot dog cook-off, and you’re invited to “Devour the Dogs” and vote for the best.

The Lee Brothers, who grew up in Charleston and now split their time between Charleston and New York, will be using toppings made from Certified South Carolina produce and products

Certified South Carolina chicken wings, grilled pork loin, boiled peanuts, sweet potato fries, collard dip and peach cobbler also will be available.

The free tailgate starts at 4 p.m. in the green and white tent in Gamecock Village on Bluff Road in Columbia
