Oct. 5-6: Beaufort Shrimp Festival.

Oct. 6: Newberry Oktoberfest. Don’t miss the liver nips cookoff.

Oct. 7: Latin American Festival in North Charleston Wannamaker County Park.

Oct. 9: Taste of the Town. Sample the best of about 50 Myrtle Beach restaurants at this long-running popular event.

Oct. 12-14: Fall for Greenville, a weekend of live entertainment and food.

Oct. 13-14: Little River Shrimp Festival.

Oct. 13: Lake Carolina Wine and Food Festival in northeast Columbia.

Oct. 14-21: Historic Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival with a street festival on Oct. 20 and 21.

Oct. 19-21: Oktoberfest in Walhalla.

Oct. 20: Loris Bog-Off Festival. You need to try this chicken, rice and sausage dish that is a specialty of this region.
